Hello, I’m Mikaella
My love for calligraphy started in 2016 when I stumbled upon a video of someone doing calligrahy. Watching how she had transformed a simple word into a beautifully written art piece with just a pen and paper left me utterly amazed. Inspired by her I just had to give it a try. Not to my surprise it wasn’t perfect, but there was a profound sense of joy that accompanied the process. I wish I had saved that video and rememerbed who she was, because she helped start all of this for me.
Starting my calligraphy business in 2020 was not initially part of the plan; it was genuinely fueled by my love for writing. However, everything changed when I created my first wedding piece. The same excitement I experienced when I first began calligraphy resurfaced as I witnessed the joy in my clients' reactions to their personalized pieces. The fulfillment of sharing my creative expressions with others and assisting couples in finding the perfect pieces for their weddings motivated me to continue this journey. And so, here we are!

Apart from my love of calligraphy, my love for buildings has been a lifelong dream.
When I’m not designning for wedding pieces, I design buildings. During the day I am a full-time Architectural Technologist, working as an in-house designer for a construction company. At night I continue on with my passion for calligraphy and work with my wonderful couples.
I was one of those kids that was obsess with playing Sims and only played to design houses. I just can’t belive I am still living that life and gets to design proffesionally.

I was born in the Philippines, in the heart of Tarlac City. My family and I moved to Calgary in 2011 and have been living here ever since.

When I travel, my keepsake is trying out different local coffees and collecting their coffee beans.

I'm the type of person who does a happy dance when the food is really good. I enjoy investing time and effort into making my meals delicious and sharing them with others.
